The New York City Housing Authority is a public development corporation that provides public and affordable housing in New York City. The objective of this project was to research, evaluate, analyze, and investigate multi-family housing & urban redevelopments, and propose an exploratory new approach to affordable housing.

57-10 Beach Channel Dr is located in a neighborhood where single-parent households account for 42% of the households in the area. Already supported by an adjacent educational facility, green spaces as well as beaches, and vast availability of transportation, this was the perfect complex to dive into a working design for single-parent households. Ocean BayApartments is designed to be an all-inclusive community that supports and uplifts its residents through services. These services are on-site and include a community center, a daycare, a job center, and a library.
